For communication needs, the company develops buoys equipped with underwater acoustic modems, as well as satellite, cellular and microwave antennas. They can also integrate power supply equipment (PFE) for submarine fibre-optic cables, to support specific offshore communications networks. GEPS Techno also offers modular power buoys that take advantage of local energy resources to power various surface and subsea equipment, offering an alternative to the installation of connecting cables. This solution applies in particular to isolated scientific benthic stations, under-exploited oil and gas wells, carbon capture and storage tanks, remote fish farms and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).
