Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port has been officially designated as an industrial integration base for the Yeu-Noirmoutier offshore wind farm. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE), Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port and Eoliennes en Mer des îles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier (EMYN) have signed a lease agreement to use port premises for a 21-month period. The port’s designation bears testimony to the strong capabilities of the port stakeholders who had already been involved in the deployment of France’s first offshore wind farm, which was inaugurated in November 2022.
